Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteer coaches who are willing to donate their time and bring chess to another child in the world.
Eligibility:
High school students
Experienced tournament player rated > 1600
Experience with teaching / coaching
Volunteer hour will be issued. Possibility to receive President's Volunteer Service Award at year end.

IM Josiah Stearman
FIDE: 2392; USCF: 2465
Josiah Stearman is a Chess International Master, 2x Member of U16 USA Olympic Chess Team, 5x US Chess All-American, 4x Chess Grade Level State Champion. He became a US National Master at 10 years and 11 months, a FIDE Master at 12 years and 10 months, and an IM at 17 years and 2 months. Outside of his competitive chess career, he has been a chess advocate and coach for many years. Josiah has a BA in Applied Math from University of California, Berkeley.
